Stop fixing, managing, and over-analyzing your feelings. Start healing them.

Deep, embodied change is possible, if you’re ready to listen to the wisdom beneath the surface.

You’ve been to therapy before, and it helped — some.

You know yourself better. You understand your patterns. You developed coping strategies.

You got good at analyzing your emotions and better at managing them.

But they didn’t change.

You may have functioned better on the outside. But you didn’t feel different inside.

You wonder, “Is this all there is? Or is there more?”

There is.

Underneath all the thoughts that race through your mind

and the feelings that trouble your heart and spirit,

there’s a place inside, just below the surface,

where your thoughts and emotions meet

the deep, wordless, visceral feelings moving through your body.

It’s here where profound change and healing begin.

Good, attuned therapy — only deeper

Contemporary Focusing-Oriented Therapy is a somatic, embodied, depth-oriented therapy that uses parts work. But it’s different from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE) or other approaches you may have heard of.

There are no breathing exercises, no progressive relaxation protocols, no “managers” or “firefighters” or other internal personalities to be mapped or catalogued.

Much of it, in fact, simply looks like good,  highly attuned “talk” therapy.

But within it is a way of sensing within and listening deeply to the parts of yourself that need to be heard.

Safely. Nonjudgmentally. Compassionately. And with support.

Because change doesn’t come by understanding or analyzing your inner feelings, or telling them to go away or “correct” themselves — even very nicely.

It comes when they feel fully heard.

This is the heart of Contemporary Focusing-Oriented Therapy.

It’s a relational and powerfully effective approach, backed by neuroscience, for becoming more “whole” and aligned with your authentic self, and for healing inner conflicts and hurts, including trauma.

Who I Work With

You don’t have to be a “deep feeler” to do this work. The inner connections are there in nearly everyone — you may just need a little help finding your way back to them.

What really matters is your yearning to understand yourself and to keep growing, even when it’s not easy. Real change takes more than deep inner work. It means having the courage to take new steps, and leave what is safe and familiar to get where you’re meant to go. I will be with you every step of the way.

Right now, these are the kinds of clients I work with. Does one of these sound like you?

  • You cope well enough – maybe even too well – but you want more, much more. You want to live more courageously, listen to yourself better, and trust yourself more. You want to really like and accept yourself and feel more at ease with yourself and others.
  • You’re mostly doing okay but underneath, old pains and trauma still haunt you and sometimes get in the way of living as you want. You’ve been running from those big, heavy feelings a long time – maybe using all sorts of ways to keep them at bay – but you’re ready to stop being held back by painful feelings from the past.
  • You’re highly intelligent, self-aware – and have combined or inattentive-type ADHD. You want to fulfill what you know you’re capable of — and stop being knocked down by the emotional storms ADHD makes you prone to.
  • You’re a man who longs to feel more connected to your feelings, body, and other people — especially your spouse and children, if you have them.
  • You’ve gone through hell because you’ve always been more emotional, more “sensitive” (ugh!) than other guys. Especially growing up. Whether straight, gay, or bi, you’re tired of hiding, struggling and feeling bad about yourself because of your more emotional nature.
  • You’re a couple struggling because one or both of you has adult ADHD. You want a consultation — not ongoing couples therapy — with someone who can objectively see what’s going on and help you work out how to continue loving and living with each other.

I’m Larry Letich

I’ve spent a lifetime studying and helping people with the inner landscape of the mind and heart, and the rocky terrain of human relationships.

Then there are the shocks, heartbreaks and setbacks that hit like a meteor and send even the most resilient people into crisis.

What I’ve learned is that, whether you’re working through past trauma or dealing with a life situation that feels impossible to get through, there is always more to you than your conscious mind can imagine.

My own experiences with ADHD, trauma and tremendous loss have given me knowledge about what it means — what it takes — to grow through pain and difficulty — knowledge that couldn’t have come any other way.

I bring that lifetime of both training and experience to you — to whatever it takes for you to emerge in the end more “whole” than you were before.
